37.5 Hours per weekWe are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic qualified cardiac physiologist. The role involves rotating through Invasive and non
- invasive diagnostic cardiology including Cardiac Catheter Laboratory and pacemaker/ICD implantation, helping to ensure that diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are carried out to the highest possible standard.
The post holder will be required to work on a rotational basis as part of the multidisciplinary team within the cardiac catheterisation laboratories, participating in an on-call rota to ensure continuous emergency cover out of hours as required.
Continuous clinical and technical advances require that the duties of the post will change and evolve; the post holder has a duty to ensure that his or her knowledge is kept up to date.

The James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough is a designated major trauma centre and provides all its specialties from one site which is unique for a hospital of its size.
It provides a wide range of district general hospital services and specialist services such as neurosciences, renal medicine, spinal injuries, major trauma, cardiothoracics, vascular surgery and cancer services.
It has 1,024 beds, a 24-hour acute admissions unit and an emergency department which houses the major trauma centre for Durham, East Cleveland, Tees Valley and North Yorkshire and has its own helipad.
In 2012 the Middlesbrough hospital completed a £35 million redevelopment of its cancer services and is now proud to provide some of the best facilities in Europe.
The James Cook University Hospital has a modern, central operating suite containing 20 well-equipped theatres and a 16-bedded intensive care unit.
There is also an Institute of Learning, Research and Innovation on site, embracing postgraduate medical education, undergraduate teaching centre, nurse training school, the school of radiography and library facilities.
The Friarage Hospital in Northallerton is an essential part of our organisation and an important point of delivery for the community.
