The Client

My Client is one the UK's leading providers of planned and responsive maintenance services in the Social Housing sector, maintaining more than 500,000 properties Nationwide.

Due to managing an increased number of properties, my Client is looking to recruitan additional Repairs Scheduler to join their busy team in Leicester.


The Role

Based from their very busy offices in Leicester and reporting to the Senior Planner, you will be required to take incoming calls from tenants, customer services, site supervisors and operatives.

Calls will be a range of queries such as; tenants requiring repairappointments, operatives needing more work, jobs that need rearranging or requiring more time.

You will be required to log all calls with clear notes on to an in-house computer system and schedule to the relevant Engineers diary depending on their skill setand the region they are based.


Duties:

First point of contact for customers, clients and operatives.
Receiving calls from customers/customer services with repairs & maintenance requests and logging them onto an in-house computer system.
Receiving calls from tenants with queries or issues about repairs already in progress
Diagnosing the priority of each repair logged and offering the customer a suitable appointment
Managing/Scheduling the Operatives diaries and re-arranging appointments if necessary.
Closing 'jobs down' when complete
Raising new 'jobs' following Supervisors site visits
Actioning the generic mailbox and respond to queries and/or bookings
Manage diaries to ensure emergencies are covered throughout the day
Shuffling jobs around on diaries, focusing on target dates and assessing the urgency of some repairs


Skills:

Must be a team player but must also be able to work on own initiative
Must be able to prioritise a very busy workload
Must have excellent communication skills and telephone manner
Must be able to handle a high volume of calls
Must be able to diagnose a repair/priority
Must be familiar with 'SOR' codes (Schedule of Rates)
Must be computer literate
Must have previous Planning / Scheduling experience within the Social Housing sector
Must be able to handle challenging or sensitive situations i.e. calls from concerned tenants
