£38-40,000 + Pension

Permanent

Euxton, Leyland, Chorley area Lancashire.

Technical Buyer job with some work-from-home in the procurement team, purchasing from pre-agreed suppliers. Buying technical parts, purchasing components and procurement of consumables as required.

In the Purchasing team the Buyer will have a varied role including raising orders and following through to delivery, resolve invoice queries as well as supporting cost-downs and new supplier on boarding which might include negotiating key points on supplier agreement contracts.

This will be a quick-moving role working with a pre agreed suppliers, and identifying new specialist suppliers. Experience of technical purchasing, or working as a buyer in a technical business would be great, but not essential.

It's potentially more valuable to have experience of setting up supply agreements, and working with suppliers to confirm whether can supply product on a specific timescale.

£38-40,000 + Pension. Successful business, great working environment and 2/3 day split of WFH

Requirements:

Are you a buyer with experience of either indirect spend, commodity, consumables, or category purchasing?
Do you have excellent eye for detail and the drive for deadlines as part of a team?
A grasp of purchasing costdown opportunities and some experience of contract negotiation?
Do you have good IT skills including MRP and MS Office?
Ideally you will have experience of managing relationships with suppliers
