NEOM McLaren Electric Racing are seeking a trainee race team mechanic to join the race team and to attend all the FIA Formula E events in Season 9.


This role will involve:


  • Working within the mechanics group assisting with car build, servicing, and maintenance of the NEOM McLaren Formula E car.
  • Supporting the composite repair technician when required.
  • Assisting with the garage build process when on event.
  • Have good written and oral communication skills
  • Have a positive attitude and the willingness and want to learn in a fastpaced motorsport environment
  • Have a passion for electric motorsport
  • Be able to work well in a group and be a good team player
  • Be able to adaptable to challenging situations
  • Be proactive
Mechanical knowledge is advantageous especially if this has been gained within a motorsport setting.


Further information

  • Worldwide travel will be essential to fulfil this role.
  • Position based at Bicester heritage Building 11
  • This role is a 12 month fixed term contract
