If Yes, we are looking to hire a production planner in out team at Hull.


As a production planner you will be responsible for the creation of a viable production plan for the facility and report on actual progress and performance to various key stakeholders, adjusting the plan where required; you will also support the production colleagues in the day-to-day operations of the facility.


This is an opportunity to be part of a growing team within a dynamic business, delivering innovation to the renewable energy.

Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:

  • Creation of an optimal production sequence based on: Production capacities, labour resources, cycle times, Stock levels, procurement situations and delivery times Production and delivery backlogs
  • Guarantee effective and high-quality handling of the work by documenting data for each production order
  • Production orders creation and launch based on updated Bill of Material (BOM)'s that reflect reality in SAP, ensuring the correct information for the ordering of materials
  • Coordinate with Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to find optimal use of the resources based on production schedule and projects plan
  • Records or monitors workflow (completion reports), in order to map the current production status in the system
  • Works on coordinating material movements between production units, in order to ensure an optimum production run
  • Develop and implement reliable forecast and load plans that meet the desired customer deadlines, making the best use of material, labour and equipment, whilst balancing out ideal WIP levels for the site
  • Analyse different short
- and long-term planning scenarios considering the different forecast plans and capacity planning options, as well as the customer requirements and storage impacts
  • Communicate clearly and regularly with all stakeholders, in order to devise realistic production plans
  • Deal with forecast plan changes in a timely manner and agreeing with relevant internal departments, with potential impacts escalated accordingly
  • Actively participate in capacity planning projects with manufacturing and take the lead implementing change on production planning processes in line with strategic business and department goals
  • Constantly question current practices identifying improvement opportunities and implementing process changes with management and Operational Excellence support
  • Implement production planning related KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), update and review them on a regular basis involving internal stakeholders and setting up action plan
  • Ensure SAP reflects the real planning requirements by constantly reviewing the demand and maintaining planned and production orders
  • Ensure accuracy and maintain all relevant master data
What you need to make a difference

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.

We are also looking for- Previous experience of working in Production scheduling or planning- Customer focused and good interpersonal skills for interaction with senior stake holders- Excellent Microsoft office skills are required- Manufacturing Background will be preferred- Experience working with ERP system - SAP planning is essential- Strong Analytical skills.

- Ability to work within a team- Familiar with LEAN concept and tools- Flexibility to travel internationally if required- Microsoft PowerBI experience preferable
