Summary of the role:
_
- You will be taking on the role of a DSE/ergonomic assessor, primarily supporting clients in the North of England, along with providing online consultations via video.
- No previous experience or qualifications are required for this role. All necessary training will be provided, and you will receive a salary during the training period.
- Ideally, you should be based in or near Manchester for ease of access to clients. However, if you're located anywhere in the North and are willing to travel to clients in your own time, that would be acceptable.
- You must be comfortable with and capable of traveling, typically by public transport, though there will also be elements of working from home.
- Having a driver's license and your own vehicle would be helpful, but it is not a critical requirement for the role.
- This position is available on both a parttime and fulltime basis, with a starting salary of £26,000 for the full time role

-What is a DSE or ergonomics assessor and what do they do?_
As a DSE (Display Screen Equipment) or ergonomics assessor, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that people who work at desk be in the office or home are comfortable and healthy.
In your role, you will be the expert that employees turn to for advice on setting up their workstations correctly.
This involves guiding them on how to adjust their chairs, keyboards, mice, and screens to achieve the best possible comfort.
You'll also be responsible for spotting any potential risks at their desks, such as poor posture or unsuitable equipment setup, which could lead to discomfort or health issues.
Your keen eye will be essential for identifying employees who might have existing health conditions or musculoskeletal (MSK) issues. These individuals could be more prone to discomfort or injury when using their equipment.Part of your job will be to suggest practical solutions, ranging from small adjustments in their current setup to recommending new, ergonomic tools.
You will carry out workstation assessments for both home and the office depending on where the employee carries out their work.
This could involve you visiting employees in-person or if it's more suitable carrying out the workstation assessment by video call.
Lastly, you'll be responsible for compiling a comprehensive report after each training and assessment session. This report will detail all the advice you've provided and any recommendations you've made.This documentation is crucial for ensuring that employers and employees have the information they need to maintain a safe and comfortable workspace.

What are the key responsibilities of the role?_
