Qualified Solicitor Opportunity

Located in Wembley, approximately a 10-minute walk from Wembley Park Underground Station.

Negotiable salary based on experience - standard working hours are 9:00 to 17:30.

Reporting directly to the Chief Legal Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide employment-related advice to Group HR on a wide range of issues, including disciplinary procedures, flexible working requests, grievances, and capability matters.
Review and negotiate commercial contracts, often construction-based, utilizing the NEC suite of contracts as a preferred choice for clients.
Evaluate subcontractors and suppliers to ensure they meet relevant criteria, including insurance, references, and adherence to Group protocols.
Instruct external counsel when necessary, typically for property and larger litigation matters.

Desirable Attributes and Skills:

Strong drafting skills with an ability to focus on commercial aspects.
A confident personality is required to enforce operational managers to review relevant contract sections, refuse subcontractor approval if criteria are not met, and carry out disciplinary action.
While some experience and understanding of NEC contracts and employment matters are desirable, the most important attribute is a willingness to learn, develop, and advise.
