WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU?
3 shifts Level 2 £41,838.83 per annum
3 shifts level 3 £44,332.07 per annum
Onsite maintenance trainer available for Technicians who want to upskill in certain areas.
Paternity - 4 weeks (2 weeks full pay/2 weeks statutory)
Maternity - up to 52 weeks (33 weeks full pay, weeks 34-39 statutory & weeks 40-52 unpaid)
Adoption leave - Up to 52 weeks off
Shared parental leave - Up to 50 weeks off

THE BUSINESS

Our client has an £8 Billion turnover, they employ 33,000 staff, they are operational in 22 countries around the globe and they are independently owned.

They are seeking an ambitious and knowledgeable Mechanical Maintenance Technician with a degree of multiskilling to join their organisation based in Newton Aycliffe.


WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE?
Ensure strict adherence to safe working practices and observe safety rules at all times.
Support equipment commissioning and installation projects.
Prepare technical reports to analyse breakdown causes and make recommendations on countermeasures.
Programming, fault diagnosis, servicing and repair of rotary positioners and MIG spot welding equipment.
Undertake planned preventative maintenance activities on automated production facilities.
Carryout fault-finding activities and undertake timely repair of equipment in the following areas; Robotics, Electrical, Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
Driving of continuous improvement activities liaising with external suppliers to reach project deadlines
Maintaining gear boxes, bearings, pumps, motors, conveyors, chains, pipe work, drive tracks, etc
General fitting and repair work including fabrication i.e. MIG & Stick welding

WHAT EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION?
Ability to produce technical reports
Experience of refurbishing pumps, motors and bearings
Experience of Mechanical maintenance
Knowledge of Welding and Fabrication techniques
Educated to HNC level or equivalent
Ability to work with limited supervision
Ability to work in confined spaces

WHAT ARE THE FINER DETAILS OF YOUR ROLE?

This is a permanent role from day one and it comprises of a 37.5-hour week, centring on a 3-shift basis.
