LOGISTICS COORDINATOR / CREWKERNE - PERMANENT VACANCY

Location:
Crewkerne, Somerset


Job type:
Permanent contract


Hours:
Monday to Friday 08:00am - 17:00pm (39 hours per week) - option to take short lunch break on Friday for early finish

Salary:
£30,000 - £35,000 per annum


Hawk 3 Talent Solutions, operating as an employment agency, are currently recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator based in Crewkerne on a permanent contract.


Duties as a Logistics Coordinator:


  • Ensuring that the right products are delivered to the right location on time
  • May be involved in transportation, stock control, warehousing and monitoring the flow of goods
  • Overseeing all supply chain operations
  • Facilitate the shipping of products from one destination to another
  • Arranging transportation, scheduling staff and orchestrate deliveries to meet customer demands with little to no delays
  • Receiving products and coordinating deliveries
  • Preparing loads for shipment
  • Taking steps to avoid quality control issues
  • Managing activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met
  • Overseeing inventory of goods and vehicles
  • Continually reviews freight costs, transportation rates and the price of raw materials to keep costs down where possible
  • Streamlining shipping and transport processes
  • Recruit, hire, train and schedule logistics staff
  • Keeping detailed, organised records of orders and stock
  • Preparing accurate reports according to the expectations of upper management
  • Analyse data and suggest modifications and improvements accordingly
  • Adhere to all safety standards, regulations, laws and policies

About you:


  • 2 + years' experience as a Logistics or Supply Chain Coordinator
  • International import / export knowledge and experience
  • Experience in customer service
  • Knowledge of safety standards, regulations, laws, policies regarding logistics and ISO requirements
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Experience in logistics incoterms for both import and export of goods to worldwide locations
