We are recruiting for a well regarded, Friendly and caring Primary school in Ashington and are looking for an exceptional individual to work 1:1 with an Additional needs pupil in Year One.
The pupil in question displays very little challenging behaviour but requires positive and kind support during the school day.You will work mainly within class but may deliver small sessions yourself.
This school is really friendly and supportive.
You will be working within a wider school team who strive to raise attainment and outcomes for the pupils they care for.
The Hours are Mon- Fri pm Term Time only. This role commences Jan 2023 and we are interviewing NOW The position is expected to run till at least September 2023
The main duties will include:
- Supporting the pupil in their education (1:1 or small group work)
- Strong and very positive behaviour management
- Interventions
- Supporting planning with the class teacher
- Using formative and summative assessment
- Promoting independence with life skills
- Providing an outstanding level of safeguarding and pastoral care
- Be available for work Monday to Friday
- Have an understanding or experience with additional needs
- Be proactive, energetic, kind and caring
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with ourselves)
- A fully checkable work history
- In addition to that, we are currently offering £100 for the successful referral of either Teachers or Teaching Assistants._
