As a Barclays Financial Crime Threat Mitigation (FCTM) expert, you will assist the FCTM Process & Control Oversight Senior Manager in driving an end-to-end oversight approach to Correspondent Banking and Intelligence Development and Investigations (IDI) processes and controls.

Working Flexibly

What will you be doing?:


  • Helping the FCTM Process & Control Oversight (PCO) Senior Manager to deliver an end
- to-end process and control oversight capability

  • Conducting indepth reviews on processes, overseeing and challenging the delivery
  • Working with technology and operations partners on strategic changes in FCTM technology architecture, design and implementation
  • Supporting responses to Regulators, Audit and Assurance partners during reviews of the FCTM teams
  • Ensuring that processes across teams are consistent as well as challenging their effectiveness and efficiency
  • Verifying that CBI governance requirements are well designed and executed effectively, by conducting annual controls testing across all FCTM controls
  • Assisting QA and local Investigatory Team Leads on coaching and training initiatives
  • Participating in discussions with business leads and monitoring trends in Requests for Information and SARs

What we're looking for:


  • Proven record of providing advice and influencing members of management, being able to quickly establish credibility, operating across all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to combine integrity and commercial approach, as well as to be pragmatic in achieving a robust control environment while being efficient
  • Excellent organisational, planning and problemsolving skills, being able to multitask and demonstrate flexible thinking in order to handle difficult decisions and recommend solutions
  • Understanding of how to distil complex issues to clear and concise briefings for management, being comfortable in managing change

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Knowledge of regulatory environment and risk management with exposure to Financial Crime matters
  • Experience of Correspondent Banking investigations within a global Financial Institution, being able to successfully deliver governance and oversight frameworks
  • Good analytical skills particularly within Microsoft Excel, to present key trends and analysis in various reports
