We are looking for a qualified and experienced Educational Psychologist to join our client's fantastic team.

As an Educational Psychologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that children and young people receive the best possible support for their learning and wellbeing.

You will work collaboratively with other professionals to provide psychological assessments and interventions that are tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual.

With your expertise and guidance, you will contribute to the development of effective strategies that empower children and young people to achieve their full potential.

You will be responsible for providing psychological assessments and advice to the Local Authority (LA) for Education, Health and Care (EHC) Needs Assessments.

You will work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure that children and young people's needs are identified and addressed effectively.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting psychological assessments and providing specialist advice to the LA for EHC Needs Assessments.
  • Developing and implementing psychological interventions to support children and young people's learning and wellbeing.
  • Providing consultation to professionals, parents, and carers on psychological issues related to children and young people.
  • Maintaining accurate and uptodate records of psychological assessments, interventions, and consultations.
  • Contributing to multiagency meetings and reviews to ensure that children and young people's needs are being met effectively.

  • The rate for this role is £455.22 per day Umbrella
  • The term for this role is initially 6 months

What we're looking for

  • Postgraduate qualification in Educational Psychology and a current HCPC registration.
  • Experience of working with children and young people in an educational or clinical setting.
  • Knowledge of current legislation and guidance relating to children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other professionals.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to use psychological theory and research to inform practice.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to undertake further training as required.

Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract

Contract length: 3 months


Pay:
£455.22 per day
