Our busy small animal practice based in Chippenham; Wiltshire is seeking a Veterinary Care Assistant to support our friendly team.

The Practice:

We are in a prime location with good transport links; close to the M4 and train station. We have a large on-site car park with free parking.

Our modern surgery has state on the art equipment, including digital and dental X-ray, Ultrasound, VGels and Multiparameters. Our excellent facilities allow our clinical team to deliver veterinary care with a dedicated focus on high clinical standards.

Our training practice has a nursing team of six; one HVN, two RVNS, one SVN and two VCAs, which are supported by a team of Receptionists and a Practice Manager.

The Role:

You will assist all colleagues with both clinical and non-clinical duties to support the smooth running of the practice.

Duties to include; assisting with inpatient care, animal handling, surgical preparation, running laboratory samples, stock control, cleaning of clinical areas and reception duties.

We are committed to supporting you, and will provide on the job training for all duties.

We are looking for a motivated individual with a positive attitude. You must be able to work well independently, as well as part of a team within our busy practice. We are looking for somebody who is an excellent communicator, who is keen to learn and develop new skills.
