Scope & Authority The post holder will work autonomously to agreed objectives in accordance with the Trusts appraisal process.

There will be regular monitoring and review meetings objectives will be set, but the post holder will determine in conjunction with the leadership team and other relevant teams/colleagues how results are best achieved.

The post holder will be responsible for project planning and driving forward the NHS Talking Therapies expansion programme, as well as contributing to other service improvement programmes, associated business cases, service level agreements, contractual obligations, etc.

You will need to closely liaise with key stakeholders and partners connected directly and indirectly with service delivery across the locality.


You will also provide leadership and guidance to those operational and clinical colleagues supporting service improvement projects, and assist in the delivery of their plans to ensure consistency.

You will ensure the monitoring and upward reporting mechanisms associated with mobilisation/service improvement plans to a range of stakeholders, including commissioners.

You will ensure that appropriate project documentation is maintained to include highlight reports, exception reports, risk log, issues log, Project Initiation Document, Project Plan, etc.

You will use PRINCE2, AGILE or other project management techniques accordingly.

You will present information, explaining highly complex issues, to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

You will secure their support for decisions that need to be made around the allocation of resources and the resulting prioritisation of tasks within the overall service mobilisation programme.


Key Responsibilities & Result Areas:

The post holder will:

Provide leadership and management of the Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service expansion mobilisation programme; Provide leadership and management of the Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service Improvement programmes in conjunction with the Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service leadership team; Manage the delivery of the Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service Improvement programmes in conjunction with the Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service leadership team; Manage any project stream, resources, budget and team members where required for the expansion and service improvement programme delivery; Ensure that programme deliverables remain tightly linked to the achievement of the Trusts strategic objectives and the commitments outlined in the tender response; Monitor the progress of the Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service expansion mobilisation project, and any service improvement programmes, in line with agreed budgets, KPIs and any other relevant local and national targets; Manage risks to ensure successful outcome and resolve any issues and initiate corrective action where required; Drive delivery and pace of the Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service expansion and improvement programme within remit; Ensure effectivegovernance, quality assuranceand the overall integrity of the Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service Improvement programmes - focusing inwardly on the internal consistency of the programme, and outwardly on its coherence with infrastructure planning, interfaces with other programmes and corporate, technical and specialist standards; Ensure training, guidance and support is in place to ensure the programme delivers the required changes.

Report the progress of the programme at regular intervals to the expansion project board, the service governance forums and other stakeholders as required; Report on the progress of improvement programmes to the Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service integrated governance forum and leadership team; Promote the Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service expansion and service improvement programme, encouraging participation from staff & stakeholders; Oversee, with the Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service General Manager, the Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service expansion programme budget on behalf of the project board, monitoring expenditure and costs against delivered and realised benefits as the programme progresses; Ensure delivery of the Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service expansion and service improvement programme is to the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the programme plan and programme governance arrangements; Ensure there is allocation of resources and skills within the programme's individual tasks in conjunction with the General Manager and Service Manager(s); Manage third party contributions to the programme where applicable; Managecommunicationswith stakeholders, within the framework of the comms strategy/plan; Work with operational and clinical service leads on the transition to the new 'business as usual' position; Staff Leadership & Management: Staff leadership and management: To provide effective leadership and management to staff which promotes high performance standards both individually and as a te
