  • Undertake client relationship management
  • Use experience with project management / contract administration work and general building surveying to oversee others across a wide range of multiple projects, across all sectors

  • The client has a framework agreement for contract administration / project management work up to the value of £3m (per project). The framework is generally satisfied by 4 Building Surveying led companies. The role of Project Coordinator was created to support the client (Asset Manager) and the CBRE Property Management team, who manage the whole client property portfolio. The role predominantly involves acting as a technical advisor to the client and property manager by providing a single point of contact for the client across all framework projects as and when required. The role focuses on particularly challenging or complicated projects where technical understanding and strategic thinking is required beyond the expertise of the Client and the Property Manager.
  • The purpose of the role is essentially to make the Asset Managers life easier, by resolving problems before they need to be escalated up the chain to the Client. Whilst also taking the burden of dealing with technical issues and contract matters away from the Property Managers. The role is to act as the Client's intermediary and be their eyes and ears across all live projects within their property portfolios and with the Framework Surveyors managing those projects.**The Project Coordinator duties include;
  • Maintaining a summary spreadsheet of all live projects
  • Leading monthly calls with CBRE Client Account Manager for Property Management instruction; provide update on instructions and highlight any issues / concerns
  • Liaise with Property Managers on new projects and assist with advising how best to proceed and any foreseen challenges at an early stage
  • Engage with the framework surveyors to ensure they understand the client's standard forms
  • Work with the framework surveyor and Asset Manger to agree the budget and scope of works as required
  • Review tender reports from framework surveyor and advise Asset Manager on way forward
  • Thoroughly review all required contractor prequalification documentation and manage the client approval process to achieve instruction to proceed with mínimal delay
  • Challenge variations as necessary throughout the contract and make recommendations to Asset Manager
  • Validate practical completion checklist has been complied with and all documentation has been provided and ensure it is correctly filed and recorded
  • Flag any defects as necessary and oversee release of retention monies
