Procurement Assistant

Overview of role


With our office team based in Wokingham Town centre and our projects carried out around the prestigious areas of West London, we are looking for a professional, highly motivated and organised individual who would like to progress their career within our growing construction company.

This is a key role supporting the Office and site team.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for a proactive, process driven individual to take responsibility for providing support to office functions across its services and vital site support.

(London travel is not required)


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The role will be responsible for a range of support, with the key tasks being:

  • Ordering materials promptly and efficiently to our London sites
  • Following up on order deliveries to our London sites
  • Checking purchase invoices to site orders and deliveries
  • Obtaining comparison prices and quotes
  • Ordering and sourcing materials, plant and equipment
  • Negotiating prices with suppliers
  • Meeting with supplier reps to discuss prices
  • Personal assistance to Director, Assistant Projects Manager and Office Coordinator
  • Carry out system checks to ensure data is correctly entered
  • Good excel/word and outlook office skills required
  • Answering and directing phone calls
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail
  • General assistance with office management and day to day administrative issues
  • Carry out any other administration duties that maybe required within the department
  • Following the correct processes to deal with new enquiries
  • Arranging access for Director for job enquiries

ABOUT YOU:
To be considered as an Procurement Assistant you will need:

  • Proven work experience working within an office support role
  • Strong attitude to detail
  • To be able to problem solve and think on your feet
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office Programmes
  • Ability to prioritise
  • Positive attitude
  • Good organisation skills

Salary:
£28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to Commute:

  • Wokingham, RG40 2BB (required)
