Description

Pinc College is seeking to appoint an EHCP coordinator to support with SEND across our Northwest Regional Campuses and manage/update our students EHCPs with student centred reviews.

The role is term time only plus one week
- will require weekly visits and sessions in Campuses as well as remote working.

Campuses to work across in person

  • Mcr, Salford, Bolton, Rochdale, and potentially Macclesfield

The role:


The primary role of the EHCP coordinator is to coordinate the EHCP review process, in a timely manner, to ensure that they are in line with the Law and the SEND Code of Practice.

Co-ordinators are the point of contact with local authorities.


EHCP coordinators guide and advise the team with SEND provision and are involved with the admission process to ensure suitability to meet SEND need and that EHCP requirements are fulfilled.

We do this by working collaboratively with staff to assess and identify appropriate strategies.

To make an informed decision we use every available resource including team observations, written documents, family contribution, student voice, and outside agencies.

We support through professional dialogue, training, and formal/informal meetings.


We monitor, measure and quality assure target setting and student progress by scrutinising ILPs, reviewing interventions, and measuring and evaluating impact with the team.


Essential
Been a SENCO/ SEND Lead

Been involved in EHCP review process

Experience of working with people with ASC and communication difficulties

Be willing to travel to different sites


Desirable
NASENCO Award

Experience of leading EHCP review meetings

Experience of training others

Experience of working in POST 16/ SEND setting

Specialist qualifications in SEND
