We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic
Bookkeeper for our client who are one of the top 100 Chartered Accountancy Firms in the UK

Responsibilities:

Inputting of customer sales invoices, supplier invoices, bank, and cash transactions,
Reconciliation of bank, cash, supplier and customer ledgers, bank, and other Balance Sheet reconciliations
Maintaining a fixed asset register,
Helping to develop systems to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures,
Balancing and maintaining an accurate general ledger and producing a trial balance,
Completion and submission of VAT Returns,
Posting wages journals and year end accounting adjustments,
Preparation of management accounts

Essential requirements:

Previous experience working in a similar role within an accountancy practice
Proficient with bookkeeping, balance sheet reconciliation including bank reconciliations
Experience in VAT preparation and cloudbased bookkeeping
Experience in Xero/QBO/and Sage desirable
Accurate data entry understanding VAT across different industries
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products including One Drive
Payroll
Autoenrolment

The Person:

Be able to develop and build relationships, both internally and externally
Have good communication skills, confident presenting themselves to management and will be able to challenge ideas when needed
Ability to work quickly and accurately, with good concentration and an eye for detail
Reconciliation of bank accounts & credit cards, including Shopify, PayPal & Amazon Seller accounts
