Role Title Policy Specialist, Women's Economic Justice

Salary London Band C:
£39,210 - £40,336 pro rata


Please note that this a PART-TIME role so the salary range will be pra ratad down to 17.5 hours. The full-time equivalent is £39,210 - £40,336 for a 35 hour week.

ActionAid UK is a member of the ActionAid Federation, an international charity that works with women and girls living in poverty. As part of the ActionAid Federation, we work with women and girls, our partners, and dedicated staff in 43 countries to end violence and fight poverty so that all women, everywhere, can create the future they want.


We are looking for an experienced international development professional with a demonstrable track record of policy and research work in women's rights and international development, with a specific focus on women's economic justice (WEJ).


Commitment to and an understanding of feminist approaches to women's rights, as well as alignment with ActionAid UK's feminist behaviours are essential to lead on the delivery of an exciting portfolio of work over the coming months.


Working as part of team and reporting to the Head of Research and Programme Policy, your main focus will be to support in our continued exploration and take-up of women's economic rights, including feminist economic alternatives among policy makers globally, working closely with colleagues across the ActionAid Federation, partners and allies worldwide.

ActionAid UK has a hybrid working policy for many of our roles. The requirement will vary from team to team and the responsibilities of individual roles.

As a minimum, all colleagues are expected to attend the office 12 days per year, plus additional time for induction, training, and "Company Connection days." Some roles may require in-office attendance on
all days and if so, these will clearly be marked as in-office roles.
