Description

This position would suit a well organised and motivated individual whom has good communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.


Key Duties

  • Attend sites for meetings and surveys and document all required information as and when required
  • Understand scope of work, complete takeoffs from drawings and produce a bill of quantities
  • Compute costs by analysing labour, material and time requirements
  • Negotiate prices with suppliers
  • Prepare and submit accurate and detailed tenders / quotes from documentation provided and / or site surveys using estimating software
  • Chase up tenders / quotes submitted requesting feedback on our submission
  • Generate enquiries and new business through existing contacts and develop relationships with new contacts, attending meetings / events as may be required
  • Keep Director and company records up to date in relation to tenders / quotes submitted and feedback received
  • Attend pre and post tender meetings as and when required
  • Maintain up to date costs in the estimating software
  • Other duties as required to support the team e.g. H&S, materials ordering, general project administration / management
  • Carry out all duties in line with company procedures and industry standards
  • Develop and maintain own technical knowledge, supported fully by the company
