Working Hours - Full time though part time hours will be considered)
Salary - £26,687 (pro rata for part time) plus a 28% night premium payment of up to £2,220 (pro rata for part time) if applicable + 33 days annual leave per annum (pro rata for part time)

From monitoring CCTV cameras around Colchester to attending the home or sheltered scheme of a Helpline customer that has fallen no two days are the same.
During COVID and throughout the last 2 years our teams have continued operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing reassurance and peace of mind to over 3500 customers using a fleet of brand new hybrid cars provided by the company.
Our established team is highly regarded for its excellent customer service and willingness to go the extra mile for its customers.
Helpline - Which delivers a telecare and response service to customers in Colchester and beyond, providing assistance and reassurance to elderly or vulnerable individuals 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The role involves, but is not limited to, answering Helpline calls, responding to emergency alarm calls, delivering help and support in the event of a mishap or sudden illness, carrying out first aid, manual handling, use of a variety of lifting equipment and equipment installation.
The role also includes carrying out demonstrations for new potential customers, completing scheduled visits to existing customers and taking part in activities to gain new customers.
CCTV - A network of brand-new digital CCTV cameras throughout Colchester Town Centre and beyond that require monitoring 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The role involves, the monitoring of CCTV cameras, liaising with a number of agencies and external stakeholders such as Town Centre Businesses via phone radio link, the East of England Ambulance Service, Essex Police and Essex Fire Service Rescue,
You need to have an understanding of the needs of vulnerable people, first aid skills, the ability to remain calm and take decisions in challenging situations and be able to physically assist people needing help with their personal mobility (training will be given in all of these areas as required).
Each shift will bring its own unique challenges and you will need to remain calm under pressure, be compassionate and able to communicate effectively to a range of customers with diverse needs and willing to cover tasks within the wider Helpline business if required.
For this role you will required to work various shifts as we operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
