  • We have an opportunity for a passionate Volunteer Coordinator to join the Trust's People and Culture Team at Essex Wildlife Trust.

As the Trust's Volunteering Coordinator, the role is to establish and nurture meaningful partnerships between Essex Wildlife Trust, Volunteer Managers and their volunteers, fostering a culture of collaboration and meaningful engagement that are aligned to our values of Impactful, Collaborative, United and Proactive.

The role will involve working closely with volunteer managers to coordinate the recruitment and onboarding of suitable volunteers who are aligned with our values and strategic objectives.

Post onboarding, the post holder will continue to partner with volunteer managers during the volunteer lifecycle to provide support and advice on best practice volunteer management.

You will utilise your interpersonal skills to establish strong relationships, ensuring volunteers feel valued, are recognised and empowered.

It is an exciting time to be joining Essex Wildlife Trust as we commence implementation of a new volunteer management system (Team Kinetic) and deliver our Volunteer Strategy.

In collaboration with key stakeholders across the Trust, the post holder will design and implement comprehensive volunteer management resources and deliver volunteer management training for volunteer managers.

Via a business partnering approach, the successful applicant will equip volunteer managers with the necessary knowledge, skills and resources, that will enable them to manage their volunteers effectively and confidently.

The ability to work effectively with others is key in delivering the volunteer strategy for Essex Wildlife Trust, which will be instrumental in building a skilled, engaged and passionate volunteer workforce.

The role is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week on a two-year fixed term contract. We are happy to discuss flexible working arrangements including hybrid working arrangements at the interviews. The starting salary is £28,875.00 per annum.
