What Will Be Your Environment:

The Huddersfield Plant is situated in Yorkshire, with <50 employees

Our site specialises in the manufacture of additives for Lubrizol Performance Coatings.

Working to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO-14001:2015 standards, the plant specializes in manufacturing both aqueous and solvent based resins, polymers, dispersants and adhesion promoters for the metals and coatings industries.


Working with our customers, we produce essential ingredients in the formulation of organic and inorganic pigments used in the paints and coatings, printing inks, plastics, wood finishing and metal coatings industries.

Our products give the end user extremely efficient particle dispersion, particle size stability and provide the highest level of appearance and performance.

The products manufactured at Huddersfield are widely used across the world.


What You'll Do:

As an Administration Assistant, you are an essential member of the team as you will support the whole plant with administrative support, this includes the leadership team, and stakeholders which could be internal or external.


What We're Looking For:

The following accountabilities are identified for the role of Administration Assistant:

You will act as site ARIBA & LZ Buy super-user, including user training, including releasing site purchase requisitions as necessary, and you will be responsible for the ordering of plant supplies via purchasing card, through our internal system, organizing printer repairs, and raising Purchase Orders.


You will support the plant leadership team with admin tasks, you will also work directly with indirect procurement and vendors in maintaining plant needs, this includes managing local relationships and managing/scheduling onsite work/visits.

You will manage inventory levels against annual targets.


You will be responsible for some site documentation which includes, the visitors book, anti-static footwear log and weighbridge certification verification.

You will also accept invoices for service orders via SAP ERP system, and supplier Certificate's of analysis for incoming deliveries.

You will support invoicing, payments tracking and financial record maintenance.

This is not an exhaustive list just some of the exciting activities on your role.


Skills That Make a Difference:


  • Experience of administration, planning and scheduling, ideally 1 years
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • SAP Knowledge is preferred but not essential
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable interacting with all levels of plant personnel as well as the ability to support corporate functions, and engage with third party vendors.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently; and manage own workload
  • The ability to build and maintain positive relationships, engage and influence others
  • Readily adapt and demonstrate a cando spirit, a sense of optimism, ownership, and genuine commitment
  • Results orientated
  • Driven to own development
  • Selfstarter, motivated, diligent, and detailoriented individual with strong organisational skills.
  • The ability to manage several projects and task simultaneously, prioritizing time to complete on schedule with ability to "Think Outside of the Box".
