Workshop Controller

DAF Birmingham

Salary:
£28,000 - £30,000 depending on experience plus overtime

Working hours:
Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00
Plus every 3rd Saturday on a rota basis

A new opportunity has arisen to join the business as a
Workshop Controller at our
Birmingham site.

What you'll be doing:

Dealing with customers bringing their vehicle for recall, service or repair
Providing feedback to customers on their service/repair, including pricing of additional work when required, explaining the reasons fully and competently
Communicating instructions to technicians and ensuring that work is completed in a timely manner

What we need from you:

A working technical understanding of vehicles in order to clearly explain repairs/additional repairs to customers
Customer service skills, including dealing with difficult situations and an ability to upsell our services and products where appropriate
Strong IT skills
Awareness of warranty guidelines, service intervals, etc
Be organised, efficient and able to multitask efficiently
Be flexible, energised and a team player
Previous experience in a similar role

**A trainee would be considered with background knowledge of commercial vehicles and engineering experience
