We are seeking a passionate, innovative and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Childrens Community Occupational Therapy team covering areas in North Cumbria, on a permanent basis.


Working as part of an integrated team with other specialist therapists, you will be required to provide assessment, advice and therapy to children and young people with a range , working with them, their families and supporting agencies.

You should have a degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy.


We are looking for an individual who demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with a passion for delivering high standards of care in the heart of the community.


Our team provide an effective system of support and supervision, which may include 1:1, pair or group supervision, as well as participation with clinical networks, mentoring and other clinical learning opportunities.

Children's Community Occupational Therapy

  • To deliver a range of commissioned community based health and wellbeing services to all children and young people in North Cumbria aged 019, working in partnership with other agencies also involved in the provision of care for this population in order to achieve and improve agreed outcomes.
  • To be responsible for provision of specialist assessment, treatment and management of babies and children who present with a wide variety of conditions in both acute and community settings. These include chronic, complex, disabling and life limiting conditions.
  • To demonstrate sound knowledge and skills in the Occupational Therapy management of children's neurological and developmental conditions, and behavioural and learning disabilities.
  • To be involved in the education and training of students, other healthcare and multiagency professionals.
