Looking to secure a new role, working as a Behaviour Mentor at a progressive and forward-thinking Alternative Provision in South Birmingham?
A fantastic Behaviour Mentor role has become available, working with young people with SEMH needs and SEN.

** £400 - £450 per week

The Behaviour Mentor:


To be eligible for this Behaviour Mentor position, you must have experience working with young people aged with additional needs and challenging behaviour.

Ideally, you will be a Level 3 Behaviour Mentor with a background in providing intervention supportand working with pupils on a 1:1 basis, managing their challenging behaviour effectively.

You should be a patient, resilient Behaviour Mentor with a good personality, allowing for you to build a strong rapport with the pupils you work with.


The Behaviour Mentor Role:


As a Behaviour Mentor at this school, you will primarily be working on a 1:1 basis with a Year 10 pupil with SEMH needs.

The child can be quite aggressive, so you will need to build a good relationship with them and understand their needs in order to provideeffective intervention support.

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will be supporting the Year 10 class, which is small, providing learning and wellbeing support.


The School:


The school, based in Northfield, caters for pupils aged with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour and SEN that cannot be met by a mainstream setting.

Leadership is excellent, and support for both students and staff is good.

Classes are no larger than 9pupils, and always have one member of teaching staff present, with at least one Teaching Assistant/Behaviour Mentor.
