    Description

    Category Manager for Critical Power

    Datacenter People, a specialized recruitment company, is seeking a Category Manager for Critical Power to join their team at a Global Power and Cooling Infrastructure organisation.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for positioning the business as a market leader in power distribution for data centers across Europe.

    This will involve conducting market analysis through desk research, customer visits, and relationship with analysts, as well as analyzing performance and proposing action plans.

    The Category Manager will also be responsible for interfacing with stakeholders, developing product and service requirements, and preparing launch plans.

    In addition, they will support front office organization, prepare product launches, and participate in the continuous promotion of the category.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct market analysis and document findings
    • Analyze performance and propose action plans
    • Interface with stakeholders and develop product requirements
    • Support front office organization and prepare product launches

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
    • Understanding of critical infrastructure and equipment such as switchgear/busbar/transformers
    • Proven technical/sales experience in power distribution industry (manufacturer, consultant, installer)
    • Experience managing cross-functional projects, product launches, or go-to-market strategies
    • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with sales, marketing, supply chain, and manufacturing teams

    Additional Requirements:

    • Ability to travel within Europe as needed
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
    • Fluent in English; knowledge of additional European languages desirable
