£23,000 per annum Working Hours & Shifts: 37.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, 8.00am-8.00pm Do you have experience with working in a caring environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Ultrasound Department


Role Responsibilities include:

Promote independence and encourage the patient to undertake all tasks within their capabilities, with their assistance Ensuring patients comfort, confidentiality and dignity are preserved at all times.


Assist and provide support within Ultrasound, ensuring preparation and after care of patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures Assist the Radiologist with Ultrasound guided Fine Needle Aspirations (FNA's).

Ensuring that the equipment is set up correctly, collecting the sample in accordance to local policy and appropriate management of the sample to pathology for testing.

Assist the Breast Radiologist in undertaking biopsy & aspiration procedures.

Ensuring that the equipment is set up correctly, collecting the biopsy sample in accordance to local policy and appropriate management of the sample to pathology for testing.

Providing both administrative and clinical support within the Imaging Department. Maintain accurate records of patient care.


Person Specification:

NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification GCSE's or equivalent in English and Math's Excellent interpersonal skills, whilst maintaining confidentiality and adhere to professional boundaries at all times Previously work experience in a care environment Good communication skills Ability to work shifts.

Knowledge of the radiology workflow (including knowledge of RIS, PACS and Compucare).
