Assistant Director, Decarbonisation/Carbon Neutral
Hybrid Working;


Salary:
£80,000 - £85,000


Mission:
To provide and administrate finance which encourages green investment and supports the Government's net-zero and clean growth goals

  • If you are passionate about decarbonisation projects and helping the government achieve Net Zero targets, this is an excellent opportunity to play a crucial role._
  • As the Assistant Director, you will lead the programme and shape its delivery strategy. You'll work closely with each project to ensure they're getting what their needs are through all phases of life cyclefrom planning processes right down how theymonitor performance outcomes_
  • In this role you will;_
  • Lead a diverse and multidisciplinary Integrated Delivery Team, with line management responsibility for heads of projects. You'll be responsible for leading the team through considerable uncertainty and be able to provide clear direction while maintainingmorale and wellbeing.
  • Evaluate the efficiency of the delivery approach; build a more effective understanding of contract management, supply chains and the demand channel and ensure that performance is evidenced through an effective monitoring and evaluation system.
  • Ensure legal, regulatory and policy compliance under GDPR, Health and Safety and identify opportunities and risks and escalating where appropriate.
  • Provide strong programme leadership and expert guidance, ensuring good project management disciplines and ways of working are in place across the team.
  • Accountable for implementing strategies, standards, controls and systems pertaining to procurement, strategic procurement and vendor contract management in accordance with legal and statutory requirements.
  • Responsible for all external and internal reporting, driving the delivery of robust business cases and steering these through senior governance, leading relevant stakeholders' meetings and engagement, and ensuring the work delivered is compliant with financial,reporting and assurance controls.
  • Ensure we adopt a continuous learning process and consider how we align incentives to help deliver the Programme's objectives.
