We are recruiting support staff to work in our Supported Living Services across the Borough of Bridgend.

We are looking for enthusiastic, creative and flexible people who are committed to empowering people with a learning disability to be involved in choices and decisions about all aspects of their lives.

You will have a sensitive attitude which portrays an understanding of the issues faced by people with a disability.


The role will involve encouraging and assisting people to become integrated members of their local community by actively promoting physical and social presence in community based facilities, e.g.

educational, occupational, and social and leisure


To support you in your role you will receive appropriate training, the opportunity to work within a team with support from colleagues, one to one supervision with your line manager, as well as regular team meetings.

Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.


Applicants should note that a criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) will be necessary for the successful applicant.
