Job description:


  • The role of the purchasing assistant will be to place orders with suppliers ensuring customer delivery dates are met and managing lead times with internal Sales team._
  • Accurately loading the Technical/NPD/ Manufacturing data into ERP system_
  • Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices_
  • Communicating progress of material and packaging to Purchasing Manager and wider team_
  • Following up suppliers for component delivery dates_
  • Liaise with warehouse team to ensure all products as expected_
  • Validating purchasing invoices against original POs for discrepancies_
  • Reviewing stock levels of high demand materials and components and assist Purchasing Manager with ordering efficiencies_
  • Ability to plan forward and help Purchasing Manager prevent any potential gaps in the process_
  • Assist Purchasing Manager with any adhoc admin related tasks_
  • Good understanding of supply chain processes_
  • Previous ERP systems experience as it applies to the core of the role, preferably purchasing software, the company uses Winman as its ERP software_
  • Ability to take the lead and resolve the issues without seeking support_
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams, Horizon_
  • Ability to work under the pressure to meet production deadlines_
  • Analytical thinking and good attention is absolutely essential_
  • Building a trusting and good working relationship with suppliers_
