JOB SUMMARY
CDW have a permanent position available for a Transport Co-ordinator to work with our Logistics team within our UK distribution centre.
You will be joining a team of 5 Logistics Specialists/Co-ordinators working on our dedicated & white glove transport from our UK & Netherlands facilities.
You will work collaboratively to identify areas of improvement within processes and highlighting to leadership as well as supporting the development of processes to be proactive, efficient & scalable.
Given the nature of our work we can have regular changes affecting any of the destinations we ship to and as such you will work to update internal documentation and databases should import requirements change and develop
You will be able to flex between day-to-day work to assist other Logistics Specialists as required having excellent time management skills and have an excellent ability to prioritise tasks appropriately and where not possible be able to flexibly put in overtime to complete all daily tasks.
KEY DUTIES
Utilisation of in-house systems (NAVision)
Working with CDW's Logistics Partners and internal teams to co-ordinate standard & specialist white glove deliveries within and between UK & EU & intra-EU via Road, Sea & Air Freight
Performing daily function within SLA's and processes provided ensuring all orders & project are delivered per client's deadlines & requirements and any issues reported proactively and fully to all internal stakeholders
Adhering to and adapting to new logistics processes as and when they are implemented
Scheduling of orders & floor capacity of department to ensure timely departure of orders and timely collection of orders to ensure mínimal impact to wider operation
Raising of export documents ensuring a high level of attention to detail & compliance with customs procedures
Ensuring dangerous goods orders are arranged & notified to partners in full compliance with ADR/IMDG/IATA regulations
Identification & classification of products commodity codes for export
Shipping export licence products in adherence with compliance processes
Ensure recordkeeping is maintained in line with HMRC requirements
Cost optimisation without impact to service levels
Keeping Sales up to date with progress of orders through to delivery
Taking ownership of problems through to resolution and ensuring proactive approach to problems
Completing other tasks as and when assigned
Adhering to and adapting to new logistics processes as and when they are implemented
Support with covering responsibilities of absent Specialists/Co-ordinators
Following of on-site HSE & Security Policies
Ensure daily routines are followed & to maintain a high level of housekeeping

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Logistics, Road Haulage or Freight Forwarding background
- Dangerous Goods experience/qualifications advantageous
- Proficiency with MS Office, Teams & strong knowledge of Excel advantageous
