RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational

  • Be a dependable and collaborative team member
  • Be knowledgeable about Early Learning Goals and the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Monitor each child's progress and report on accomplishments to identify growth and consistency
  • Cultivate positive relationships with parents/guardians, colleagues, and external organizations
  • Supervise children during playtime (indoors and outdoors) and mealtimes
  • Engage in parent's meetings, fundraising events, and marketing the nursery as needed
  • Assist in the care, safety, and maintenance of all nursery equipment and toys
  • Help in planning and implementing activities in the nursery
  • Manage and maintain display boards
  • Collect and organize meals from the kitchen
  • Retrieve stock from the stockroom
  • Participate in preparing the nursery for OFSTED inspections and follow up on any recommendations from the Inspector, in coordination with the Nursery Manager
  • Perform additional assigned tasks by your supervisor

Personnel

  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as needed
  • Be accountable for engaging in all self-development activities, including appraisals, supervisions, etc.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels in the room at all times

HEALTH AND SAFETY

  • Share responsibility for health, safety, hygiene, and cleanliness across the nursery
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the children at all times
  • Uphold high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the bedding, nappy changing area, and food service zones
  • Be versed in all emergency and security protocols such as Fire procedures, drop-off, and pick-up routines

General

  • Adhere to all company policies, including meeting attendance and other assigned duties
  • Ensure compliance with the Company's Equal Opportunities Policy at all times

Salary: £11.44-£11.50 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person
