MAKE READY GROUP LEAD (SNEE) 9 Month Secondment


The operational Support directorate at the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust are a dedicated and vital support network which assists our front-line clinicians in providing excellent care to people living in the East of England, 365 days a year, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day covering six counties - Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, and Suffolk.


The Make Ready Group Lead role is key to supporting the roll-out of make ready and also through the ongoing operation of the service.


You will be required to ensure that Emergency Response Vehicles are available for use by being clean, roadworthy and fully equipped to meet the demands of the operational Front-line expectations.


You will be required to manage a number of Make Ready Teams and Supervisors who provide a 24/7 support service to front line operations.

Responsible for ensuring staff levels to cover planned rotas, staff performance and progression along with appraisals.

Completing investigations under RIDDOR guidance regarding Datix to ensure compliance and Health & Safety standards are adhered to.

Produce performance reports/data.

This role will cover Suffolk and North East Essex. Applicants would be expected to have intricate knowledge of make ready and it's requirements.

We need you to have proven management skills to carry out this specialist role supporting the wider team within your area, with experience of recruiting and performance management of staff.

You will also be responsible for the design, structure and delivery of Key Training days of the On-Boarding for all new recruits.


You must have proven experience of producing and submitting regular performance management data, along with experience of monitoring budget performance and the implementation of financial recovery planc to maintain financial balance.


Maintaining a good working relationship and communication with our Operation Management staff, Workshops, Clinical Engineering and Supplies departments are essential to ensure the smooth and efficient running of your area.
