REED HR is delighted to support our public sector client who wishes to recruit a People Operations & Workforce Planning Business Partner to join their teamIn this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day workforce planning & people operation tasks. You will also have responsibility for developing & adding value to support the organisation in meeting its goals & long-term success
This post will sit across Workforce and Succession Planning & People Operations team
Main duties are:
- Oversee & support the prioritisation of external & internal workforce planning processes with stakeholders, ensuring records are kept up to date with the progression of such processes
- Manage the agency worker framework & performance to ensure stakeholders secure cover for positions at speed
- Manage & advise on People & Culturerelated queries, ensuring policy & procedure is upheld & stakeholders receive a highquality service
- Carry out people operationrelated meetings, includingunderperformance, unsatisfactory conduct & attendance reviews
- Provide support at meetings & produce good quality and timely notes
- Produce information on a monthly basis for various stakeholders on the progression of People & Culture processes whilst ensuring that records are accurate & up to date
- Manage internal audits on a monthly basis & seek independent sign off
- Support the implementation of processes to strive for a high performing organisation
- Engage in & promote positive channels of communications within the People & Culture team & across the organisation including working in partnership with Trade Union
- Undertake all duties respecting confidentiality, sensitivity & duty of care at all times
- Lead & develop direct reports & provide coaching & mentoring across the HR team to ensure continuous improvement
- Ensure effective absence & performance management of staff in line with organisations policies and procedures
- Ensure safe, secure and suitable working environments which are health and safety compliant
- Ensure compliance with GDPR regulations
Criteria:
Hold a Level 5 qualification ie Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE), Foundation degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), Level 5 award, Level 5 certificate, Level 5 diploma, Level 5 NVQ
Associate membership of CIPD
2 years' experience of providing advice/guidance and hands on support for People & Culture processes to include 3 out of the following:
- The development of People & Culture processes
- External Permanent and Fixed-Term Recruitment
- Interpretation of policy to advise on people operation processes (to include 2 out of the following 3) attendance, performance and disciplinary
- Build credibility with stakeholders, including senior management & trade unions through effective verbal and written communication in provision of sound advice & support to aid good working relationships
- Good experience in maintaining good records for management reporting
- Demonstrable experience in Microsoft Office packages, specifically Excel and Word and their relevant functions i.e. use of pivot tables

Working hours 37 across 5 days, offers a flexi working system. Hybrid working can also be considered
Basic Access NI check to be competed
