Responsibilities:


The role of the Commercial Finance and Pricing Business Partner is to drive the pricing agenda within the business, working collaboratively with the business to optimise positioning of our products and maximising value.

They will provide analysis and modelling to support the development of new business propositions, pricing and commercial offerings.

The Commercial Finance and Pricing Business Partner will be required to develop close working relationships with key senior stakeholders to enable them to provide challenge, influence outcomes and develop actions to drive business understanding forwards.

They will have the ability to articulate complex commercial information to a wide range of stakeholders.

  • The Commercial Finance and Pricing Business Partner will ensure that complex deals, multiyear frameworks and mini competitions have been extensively modeled ensuring that pricing risks have been appropriately addressed and that deals are margin optimised.

This is a crucial role in ensuring that our offerings match our customers' requirements, whilst protecting the business from evolving market conditions.


Other key responsibilities in this role include:

  • Identify opportunities to improve our sales results through using internal and external to inform discussions with the business and customers
  • Run the annual pricing review process, advising and challenging the business to optimise prices based on product value and competitor positioning
  • Run the weekly Price Steering Room meeting with our business leaders, providing insight and objectivity to allow top management to make informed decisions
  • Analysing and collating pricing information to ensure that our prices reflect market requirements and align with defined pricing corridors
  • Advise on price positioning for new product introductions, understanding the value they bring to the market and ensuring that pricing is set to reflect these and our strategic approach
  • Working with the business to understand changes in the market enhance processes to improve data availability and reliability
  • Provide relevant and timely analysis to support the tender and initiative process, improving the quality of our returns and ensuring judgement based on sound analysis
  • Adhoc projects as directed by the Commercial Finance Manager
Your qualification

  • Experience of supporting the commercial agenda of a business in a numerate capacity
  • Experience in an analytical role, ideally with commercial exposure
  • Excellent Excel and data skills to enable complex models to be built and trends analysed
  • Demonstrate excellent commercial acumen and decision making
  • Possess high level of resilience and the ability to work under pressure to tight reporting deadlines
  • Ability to work as part of a cross divisional team as well as independently
  • Highly motivated, proactive and enthusiastic with the ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to provide challenge and advise stakeholders
  • Ability to think both tactically and strategically
