The Role:
Area Sales Manager - South / South West

Sales area:
Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire, Wiltshire, BANES, Somerset, Devon, Cornwall, Dorset

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and skilled Area Sales Manager to join a thriving garden trade supplier with an outstanding range of products and brands.

Covering the Southern sales area, you would be selling to existing and new retail accounts across garden, pet, department store and DIY channels including regional key accounts.

Key responsibilities will include:

Inherit a wellestablished customer base of garden centres, pet stores and furniture retailers
Create a journey plan that maximises customer contact time
Monthly visits to all customers to provide service and introduce new ranges
Visit prospect accounts to introduce the brand and inspire the decision maker to get on board
Be creative in seeking new business opportunities farm shops, department stores, agricultural merchants and gift shops are all suitable targets
Provide sales forecasts and daily updates to the CRM system

The Reward:

A basic salary of £32,000 - £38,000 plus quarterly and annual bonuses and company car. A laptop, ipad and mobile are provided to support you and the use of PixSell reduces admin time. 25 days paid holiday plus bank holidays.

We are looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager with a track record of success selling to garden centres, pet stores or similar independent retailers in the South or South West.

You will need to demonstrate a broad skill set from managing multi-sitekey accounts to prospecting for new stockists together with the people skills to create great customer relationships.

Additional requirements are:

Home based in Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire, Wiltshire, BANES or Somerset
At least five years of field sales experience dealing with independent retailers
A passionate, charismatic and inquisitive character
Numerate, articulate, fun and trustworthy
High energy with fantastic communication skills
Highly organised and able to work with a broad range
