Gymnastics is an amazing sport that has the power to have a positive impact on people, communities, and our society, helping to build foundations for life for all those who take part.

At the beating heart of that is our members - the gymnastics community that is made up of gymnasts, parents, coaches, clubs and other venues, officials and volunteers.

Together they form the fabric of a sport that is woven into local communities across the country.

As the UK's national governing body for gymnastics, we work together with our members and aim to unite to deliver our new vision of an uplifting gymnastics experience for all.


Inclusion is central to this vision for the sport and our purpose of ensuring gymnastics is enjoyable, safe and open to everyone.

As part of our Leap Without Limits strategy, we have therefore set out an underpinning commitment to be relentless in our pursuit of inclusion and accessibility in gymnastics.


We are looking for an Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Lead to help us fully embed inclusion into our organisation and our sport.


As our EDI Lead you will be a passionate advocate for, and expert in, EDI, with a strong network of contacts.

You will play a critical role in the delivery and continued improvement of our inclusion strategy and associated EDI activities and programmes, as well as supporting the cascading of our plans through our affiliated organisations and registered clubs so that anyone can benefit from gymnastics, whatever their background.


As a member of the organisation's leadership group, you will lead and champion inclusion within gymnastics by inspiring and influencing others, working collaboratively across and beyond the organisation create a culture of everyday inclusion where everyone understands their role in this.

You will work closely with relevant internal departments, the British Gymnastics Foundation, your Home Country peers, the gymnastics community, and wider stakeholders and organisations to remove barriers to participation, progression and involvement in gymnastics, and tackle inequalities in a way that has a meaningful impact on the organisation, individuals, the sport, and wider society.

This is a dual based role working from home and Lilleshall National Sports Centre, nr Telford, Shropshire twice a week.
