Description

We are currently seeking an experienced, motivated and energetic support worker to provide 1:1 support to a child within the Halewood area of the city.

The 11 year old boy has autism, sensory differences and communicates through Makaton. He enjoys being outside and visiting local facilities and theme parks.


We are seeking a support worker who understands the child's need for clear boundaries and expectations whilst providing motivation and fresh, fun, challenges.

Someone who can take a light hearted approach to the role, whilst demonstrating excellent awareness of their environment and safety.


You will have a genuine interest in supporting the development of a neuro diverse child, with experience in providing support to a person on the autistic spectrum, and a strong understanding of sensory differences.

A driver is preferred but is not essential.

Some flexibility will be required, especially during the initial period, whilst relationships are established.


Hours:
6 Hours per week Term Time

12 Hours per week Non Term Time


Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 6-12 per week


Salary:
£9.50 per hour
