**English Teacher
Are you a qualified teacher with a passion for English and keen to support children in removing barriers for learning?


Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with the headteacher of a specialist for provision children who struggle to achieve within a mainstream setting in Blackburn.

This provision carers for children aged 10-16, in addition to teaching the childrenthe core curriculum they aim to equip them with the skills for their future working lives.


Due to the pupils disrupted school experience, the children are achieving below national average, therefore, it is paramount that the successful educator will have a desire to teach children who need a lot of encouragement.


The role

  • Ensure a highquality learning experience for pupils which meets internal and external quality standards.
  • Use creative approaches within curriculum development and design
  • Develop learning programmes within your specialist area
  • Liaise with Senior managers and others about pupils
  • Maintain an uptodate knowledge of key curriculum areas linked to role
  • Plan the English curriculum across key stages to ensure a well sequenced, knowledge rich curriculum that carefully engineers success.

What are the job requirements?

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Qualified to at least degree level in English/or adequate post degree conversion course
  • Proven record or evidence from teaching practice of potential to help pupils reach high standards of learning and achievement
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and reprioritise workload when needed
  • A high level of selfawareness knows strengths and weaknesses and can relate to difficult personality types well
  • Excellent ICT skills for teaching.
This role will be on a full-time basis and is due to start ASAP. The pay scale for this role ranges from £100-£140 p/day (dependant on experience).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
