As the Management Accountant, you will have the AR team as your direct reports and supporting you also. You will be responsible for producing timely, accurate and relevant management accounts to set timescales.

Responsible for ensuring that all areas withinthe finance team are reconciled and closed off before production of accounts and are accountable for the numbers you share with the wider business.

Key tasks and responsibilities

Produce accurate Management Accounts and SLT pack to set timescales
Produce accurate consolidated and parent company accounts.
Manage all month end postings to include:
accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and depreciation.
Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure all relevant costs have been captured.
Check all TB reconciliations to ensure:
They balance
No suspicious transactions exist
The postings are consistent with the transactions in that GL
Ensure all nominals balance to the relevant ledger (AR/AP/INVENTORY/COS)
Oversee Gross margin reconciliations
Undertake detailed stock and COS reconciliations to ensure data integrity and that the ledgers balance back to the TB
Reconcile stock movements to identify trends and/or provisions.
Maintain and Monitor controls within the department.
Prepare the records for Audit.
Analyse costs and variances to budget/LM/LY
Report on CPU
Reconcile and check Duty charges
Manage the AR team and mentor the assistant management accountant.
