Tate are proud to work in partnership with the University of Southampton Auditory Implant Service (USAIS).

This service provides regional help for severely and profoundly deaf adults and children situated at the University of Southampton Highfield Campus.

USAISis looking for a highly motivated person to join the service on a temporary basis to start ASAP.


Job Purpose:

To provide secretarial and administrative support to the USAIS including the management of patient pathways.


Duties:

To provide end-to-end support and administrative tasks relating to the management of patients including:

  • Using a custom-built database/diary system to book appointments for patients undergoing rehabilitation, coordinating staff and clinic rooms; booking interpreters and organising car parking for patients as required
  • Printing and formatting patient reports by mail merging within a bespoke database and creating new templates as required
  • Ensuring accurate and timely record keeping, including maintaining and archiving (electronic and physical) patient files and keeping them in good order and maintaining database entry. Adhering to data protection and information governance policies and procedures.
  • Providing medical secretarial support for AIS ENT clinics including preparation of the room, ensuring the notes are available and transcribing correspondence from audio tape
  • Liaising with Hospital Theatre Staff, Paediatric Admissions, Ward Staff and Clinical Radiology staff regarding patient referrals, appointments, admissions, assessments etc.
  • Ensure safe delivery/collection of cochlear implants, patient file and Xrays.

Pay:
£12 - £13.50 per hour, depending on experience
