About the Role


Ideally, you will have prior experience in a supervisory role in a yard or outdoor storage facility working within a construction environment for the position of
Yard Supervisor based at our yard in LS28.

Accountabilities

  • Oversee all daytoday operations in our company yard
  • Supervise yard workers and ensure they comply with safety procedures
  • Ensure equipment and materials are properly maintained and secure
  • Schedule and monitor all inbound and outbound deliveries
  • Coordinate with Purchasing team to maintain smooth flow of goods in and out of the facility
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of all goods stored in the yard
  • Ensure yard and facility cleanliness and organization
  • Conduct regular safety audits
  • Provide training to new hires and coaching to existing employees as needed
  • Overseeing and coordinating daily yard operations
  • Ensuring safety, productivity, and organization
  • Managing yard personnel
  • Implementing processes
  • Tracking inventory
  • Performing inspections
  • Adhering to regulations
  • Administering all work yard operations and ensuring compliance to safety policies

  • Maintain neat and clean yard at all times.
  • Maintain optimal level of customer services and assist to resolve all issues
  • Perform survey and analyze results to implement all safe work procedures.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and receive all materials and prepare necessary paperwork for same.
  • Ensure proper handling of all materials and store it appropriately.
  • Perform routine and non routine maintenance on equipment and prepare report to submit to manager.
  • Monitor loading of materials to ensure safe transfer to sites.

Required:


  • Prior experience in a supervisory role in a yard or outdoor storage facility
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Strong organizational and timemanagement abilities
  • Proficient in MS Office and Excel
  • Driving licence

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
Up to £28,000.00 per year
