The post holder works in close co-operation with the Team Leaders in the delivery of day to day services and the personal development of specialisation


The post-holder will:
Undertake a senior but generalist role within the Hearing & Balance Centre. Undertake broad range of service provision with elements of routine and non
- routine tasks. Develop specialist skills in sub-specialist area/s of service that reflect key elements of non
- routine tasks.

Receive the personal development support of the relevant Team Leader/s in sub-specialising. Contribute to day to day departmental management


The post-holder will:
Take supervisory responsibility for delegated performance management for staff grades, below this grade, including trainees on clinical placement.

Ensure timely feedback to Team leaders on the use of consumable resources and the status of equipment following stage A checks, problem evaluating service delivery issues, associated with equipment downtime.


Take responsibility for the delivery of an episode of clinical care to individual patients and manage the care plan effectively.

Provide day to day advice to junior staff on basic clinical problem management.
