This school is part of a Group of 23 SEN schools across the UK and is an innovative provider of education and care for children, young people and adults with special educational needs and disabilities.


As part of their growth strategy; this SEN Group of schools is really pleased to be opening a brand new Secondary ASC/SEMH school in Autumn 2023 in
Torton, Kidderminsterfor students aged between 11-19.


They are currently looking for a
School Business Manager to join in April 2023 to support with the creation, opening and running of a successful ASC provision in the Kidderminster area.


The building will be redeveloped; so you'll be expected to play a key role in the design, look and feel of the school to ensure it fulfils its potential of an amazing learning environment with the facilities to allow students to access a varied curriculumin a calm and nurturing environment with a team that strives to give every student the confidence and opportunities to achieve.


The role:


As the School Business Manager, you will be part of the Senior Leadership Team with responsibility for the leadership, management supervision and development of the support departments, to include Finance, Administration, HR, Facilities and Site Maintenance,Health and Safety, Housekeeping and Catering.


You will be expected to effectively lead and manage the support teams to enhance their effectiveness and performance to achieve excellent standards as well as promoting the highest standards of business ethos and compliance.


Experience:


  • A Management or Professional qualification in related area to role e.g. Management Diploma or Finance qualification is desirable.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations and standards for education
  • Knowledge of current inspection frameworks used by regulatory and statutory bodies.
  • Do you have and young people
  • Management and knowledge of EBITDA, financial systems, processes and budget preparation Excellent communication skills with a range of internal and external people, verbally and in writing
  • Ability to form & promote positive relationships with and between young people, employees, parents and representatives of outside agencies
  • Ability to define high, appropriate and attainable standards, and achieve them
  • Effective team leadership and management
  • Ability to assess situations accurately, resolve problems effectively and take decisions


You will be instrumental in the recruitment and building of your entire team (who all need to be in place by August 2023).
