An exciting opportunity has arisen for an administrator who is keen to progress in a medical secretarial career. Essentially this post is to support the medical secretaries as part of a team.

This role is varied and busy and we are looking for a forward thinker, who can adapt to change and be responsive in supporting the specialities within the Medicine Division.

You will be educated to GCSE English and Maths A-C or equivalent, be computer literate and able to type.

Audio typing can be trained on the job, as long as you have a grasp of medical terminology and have an excellent standard of English, we will support you to learn and master this skill.

Working within a team of Medical Secretarial Assistants who provide and co-ordinate support for the Medical Secretaries.

This will involve being flexible with your approach to work, where you will be based could change daily as can priorities.

Audio typing clinical letters and responding to instructions.
Scanning of patient documents on to Lorenzo patient system
Receiving and making telephone calls
Liaising with different departments
Responsible for GP post and collecting of other post.
Collecting and distributing correspondence as well as patient's medical notes.
Working as part of a rota.
