Description

Security and Information Risk Advisor

c. £70,000 p.a. plus benefits package

Flexible location - hybrid working with 2 days minimum in London SW1 office.

A truly unique building, the Palace of Westminster - a world famous icon of democracy - needs essential restoration and renewal to preserve it for future generations.

Covering 34 acres, and the size of more than 1,000 houses, there are 1,100 rooms, 100 staircases, three miles of passageways, four floors and 65 different levels.

We're currently carrying out thousands of hours of complex building surveys and investigations in order to inform future decision making on the work that's needed.

We've already engaged teams of architects, engineers, project managers and contractors who will shape the future direction of the work.

We're now looking for an accomplished security and information professional to join us and be part of the largest building restoration project ever undertaken in the UK.

The mission of our cyber security organisation is to provide a good security posture against the shifting backdrop of cyber risks and threats.

Your particular challenge will be to take responsibility for assessing the risk associated with new technical solutions.

We will also rely on you to document and score the risks identified and recommend mitigations to a Digital Assurance Lead (an internal accreditor) for inclusion in accreditation statements.

Contributing to change management reviews and a new cyber community of practice and supporting the objectives of the R&R Accreditor will be important aspects of the role too.

What's more, when it comes to helping to facilitate an information security governance structure, helping to manage and resolve security incidents or mentoring or training others, again we will count on you.

Someone who is able to present complex information clearly and concisely at all levels, you have excellent stakeholder management skills too.

You're also adept at making clear and considered decisions that relate to all aspects of risk regarding the use of new and existing technical solutions and able to methodically assess methodically risks presented and make appropriate recommendations for their mitigation.

CISSP certification and/or professional membership of CIISec would be useful, as would experience as a ISO27001 Lead Auditor/Lead Implementor or of working on major programmes.

However, these are not must haves.
