Description
An exciting position has arisen for a Communications Officer to work for a national regulatory body.

The role will involve being responsible for supporting and delivering a wide range of communications activities, particularly for their website.


Key responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of communications and engagement strategies and plans to help explain the organisation's role and work to patients, the public and the sector
  • Provide key support to the launch the body's new website by working with internal teams to coordinate page creation, producing accessible documents and visual content on both the current and new site, including upload and maintenance
  • Provide wider communications support for projects and daytoday activities as required, including implementing tracking links to support the collation of analytics and data reports, and producing simple graphics
  • Assist the communications team in their external affairs activities, by delivering mass mail campaigns and preparing supporting materials, as well as attending occasional virtual and in person events as required to represent the organisation, sometimes outside working hours and outside London
  • Monitor social media channels, responding to or escalating queries as appropriate
  • Support communications activity and organisational campaigns by writing a weekly schedule for social media posts
  • Excellent writing abilities with experience of analysing and summarising reports and other materials for digital channels and audiences, including website content and social media posts
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, including Acrobat and Photoshop, and other simple graphics programs, such as Canva or similar
  • Experience using a website CMS system (with specific Drupal experience desirable)
  • Experience using a social media scheduling programme (eg. HootSuite or similar)
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal
  • Experience working at a Charity/Public Sector Body is desirable

Length:6 months contract, with possibility to move to permanent


Working pattern:
Hybrid - 1-2 days per month in office
