PCN Support Officer


Salary:

Key Relationships:
PCNs, CCG, community organisations


Being the one voice for primary care at a regional and system-level and through the delivery of the regional plan and integrated care.

Holding the NHS contract and working closely with the network to deploy the resource to its maximum benefit.

Providing forums for Networks to support the delivery of Network functions including CDs and network Manager's meetings.

Being the employer for a range of roles including those under the ARRS scheme.

Providing access to back-office support such as IT and HR.


The PCN Support Officer plays an important role within CLH to proactively work with PCNs and Practices to provide a robust and seamless support process.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES_


Meetings

  • Coordinating venues/remote links
  • Setting up and managing tech
  • Compiling and circulating agendas
  • Coordinating and updating diaries
  • Taking minutes/updating action trackers
  • Liaising and scheduling guest speakers

Communications

  • Managing PCN inboxes
  • Coordinating signing of documentation
  • Creating and circulating newsletters
  • Creating and sharing progress reports/dashboard etc.

Patient engagement/networking & media

  • Sourcing/suggesting practice noticeboard & website content
  • Attending PCN webinars & communicating onward
  • Attending local forums & network meetings, sharing information, writing up updates, summarising events for PCN leads
  • Creating media to share information with patients
  • Coordinating & managing patient engagement on a PCN level
  • Leading and representing the PCN voice at meetings and events
  • Planning and delivery of PCN PPGs

Projects & events

  • Facilitating CLH and PCN projects, including ARRS, research, data analysis and any other appropriate CLH projects
  • Project administration & management
  • Creating surveys, collating feedback & compiling reports/dashboards
  • Coordinating events from beginning to end
  • Contributing ideas & thoughts backed up with examples & evidence
  • Sourcing information & examples of best practice
  • Encourage practice PCN engagement
  • Project management from establishment to monitoring, reporting and completion
  • Sourcing training from local providers

COVID response

  • Acting as voice of the PCNs in discussions, and planning with the CCG
  • Establishing and operating the COVID laptop hub
  • Creating, collating and reporting on absences, testing, protocols
  • Ensuring coms are clear and regularly communicated to the practices from the CCG regarding COVID matters
  • Creating business continuity plans, folding plans, updating documents when necessary
  • Leading on scale plans as a response to COVID
  • Establishing and sourcing remote tech resources for remote PCN working & channels of communication
  • Operating as a key point of contact accessible to practices with any COVID related questions or problems

KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

The post holder will be required to:

  • Maintain constructive relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including:
  • General Practice
  • Central London CCG
  • Participate in relevant internal and external working groups/projects, services, and initiatives which develop the role and the service within Central London.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

The following experience and knowledge is required:

  • Advanced organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Analytical skills:
  • Ability to analyse and interpret information, preempt and evaluate issues, and recommend and appropriate course of action to address the issues

Planning Skills:


  • Ability to prioritise, exercise initiative and work within a team
  • Independent thinker with demonstrated good judgement, problemsolving and analytical skills
