We have an exciting new vacancy available for a
SAMPLE RECEPTION TEAM LEADER to join our friendly team in
Manchester.


The Pathology and Bioanalytical laboratories are a part of MACs recent growth. As a new department you will have substantial knowledge and experience in Biochemistry, Haematology and Coagulation. You will also need to be familiar with sample receipt process.


The focus of this new role is to assist the laboratory management team and to support MAC sites to achieve MAC targets and assist in establishing processes involved in the smooth running of routine sample testing.


KEY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Honours Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
  • Biomedical Scientist HCPC registration, or willingness to work towards within 12months (Desirable)
  • Experience in operating and maintaining a QMS
  • Administrative level experience with LIMS and/or ELN
  • Familiarity with the processes and requirements for the handling, preparation and storage of clinical and nonclinical samples (including but not limited to, Plasma, serum, CSF, urine)
  • Knowledge of testing procedures and applicable laboratory regulations for clinical samples.
  • Experience in generating, reviewing and updating SOP's
  • An understanding of applicable laboratory testing regulations (including but not limited to ISO 15189, GLP and ISO 17025)
  • Knowledge of standard Clinical Pathology Testing (would be advantageous)
  • Experience with analytical technologies such a LC-MS/MS, HPLC etc (Desirable)

SCHEDULE:


  • Monday to Friday 8:30am
  • 4:30pm (some shift work may be required)
